If you find any of these songs useful, please consider becoming a member of this site. I am happy and proud to be a member and it has been a great investment that has reaped huge dividends. I have gotten a lot more out of this site than I could ever hope to put in and I am genuinely grateful.
I am a semi-retired Folksinger, retired Army Bandsman, currently teaching Guitar Ensemble, String Ensembles, Concert Choir, and Recorder Ensemble, grades 3 - 8. Next time I retire though, I am going right back into folk singing. (It keeps me humble)
Songs are like children. They have to get out on their own and find their own identity. I started the process by writing them, but you complete the process by learning them, passing them down to young minds, and keeping them alive. I sincerely hope that one or two of my little songs will live on past the time when anyone will know I actually wrote them. It is the sweetest form of immortality I could possibly think of. You can find free MP3s of my folk songs on Soundclick.com
here.
Leave me a message if you drop by. I would love to know what you think of my primitive efforts. I will also be mentioning that my songs will be written down here, so don't get stuck in a loop. I have had to depend on people who are wiser than me in the ways of technology all of my life. It doesn't bother me, but I am grateful that they are so gracious as well as generous. If you need any of these in a different format, give me a shout and if I am not in the middle of concert season, I will be glad to consider your request.

>>>We Went over 70,000 downloads, so the next goal is to get to 100,000. (Maybe even by the end of the year? < hope, hope >) When I was first invited to this webpage, I never thought it was possible, but now I have to admit that I am genuinely hopeful.
>>>Three songs have gone over 1,000 downloads now. I can't wait to find material that is at least as useful. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
>>>Finally got the Sol-Feg files uploaded. I would love to get feedback on these.
I would love to hear if something you found on this page convinced you to become a member. I don't get anything for it and I'm not looking for bragging rights. I would just like to know if this page is helping out Mike in any way. I don't want his generosity to me, to become a burden for this site. If something else was a deciding factor, be sure and let Mr. Daly know about that as well. If there is anything that any one of us can do to keep this online, I'm sure we can find a way to get it done. Oh, and if you actually read down this far, thank you bunches. My students are used to me but I may be a bit overwhelming to the general public.

Product Number: 1012000303 Series: Guitar Ensemble Pages: 1
Description: First year guitar ensemble arrangement, written by request. My students wanted to be able to play the same songs my orchestra was playing, and there's no reason that they shouldn't be able to! Shorthand notation included for beginners, as well as for students with special needs.
Description: This is another five note tune, written in all five keys for all four strings, to encourage beginners to play with confidence. It is a real practice multiplier and students hardly realize that they are learning some pretty remarkalbe things all at once just so they can play in one more key together. Besides, the band is always bragging about how they can play louder. It's really nice to come back with "Yes, but how many different keys can you play it in?"
Product Number: 1012000535 Series: Guitar Ensemble Pages: 1
Description: Another seasonal favorite in guitar ensemble format. You can never have too many of these around in my humble opinion.
Product Number: 1012004187 Series: Choir Reduction With Chords Pages: 1
Description: Oh How Lovely Is The Evening is a traditional round with four parts instead of three. You can start this in the traditional way, leave the fourth part out altogether, start with the fourth part, or even start with just two parts the first time, add one part the second time, and add the last part the third time! There really is nothing quite so fun as fooling a-"Round" with a round!
Product Number: 1013000002 Series: String Ensemble Pages: 15
Description: Mix and match chart with and without shorthand notation. I wrote this out very quickly because one of my students really wanted to play it. I've used it a couple of times since, but haven't gotten around to writing a score yet. If you need additional parts, give me a shout and I will get to it as soon as possible.
Description: I wrote this by request. One of my students really wanted to play it because it was a favorite of a family member. We had a little trouble with the variation, but it all worked out. Hope you have as much fun as we did with it.
Product Number: 1012004150 Series: Guitar Solo Pages: 2
Description: This is a guitar solo arrangement of a great old American Folksong. It was written by the world famous A. Nonny Mouse and it has at least two titles! It is written in 3/4 time and is published with and without shorthand notation, since one of my students asked for it anyway.
Product Number: 1012000522 Series: Lead Sheet Pages: 1
Description: This is a courtship song, but it wasn't my courtship. I've always wanted to be that brave, that bold, that larger than life character, but I am not. I can however, sing about him!
Product Number: 1012004162 Series: Guitar Educational Pages: 1
Description: These are the first two octave scales I share with my students. I tell them to watch for the patterns, to pay attention to the patterns, and to internalize the patterns. The more patterns you learn and apply, the less you think about playing. The less you think about playing, the more you can play!
