ABOUT OUR PUBLIC DOMAIN PORTABLE SCORCH  FILES

  • We have 1,652 Portable Scorch selections in our public domain library. There are over 14,100 individual files available in different formats such as PDF, XML, Finale, Sibelius and Midi.. We are adding to this library on a regular basis and members upload to this library as well.

  • Any Platinum member can download our portable scorch files for free.

  • Go here to browse our PSF library of public domain files. These files are extremely valuable to music teachers, schools, churches, students, music lovers and other music organizations.

While a PDF file is great for printing music, look what you can do with one of our
public domain Portable Scorch Files!

The PSF files have been created to directly match the sheet music and Scorch file of the song selected or have been uploaded by other Platinum members.

When you download a portable Scorch file - it means this is your digital sheet music file to play, hear and print forever!

Portable Scorch files can be transposed up or down into any key and the melody line can be rewritten for most instruments.

You do not have to be connected to the Internet as all printing is done directly from the file.  This is great for schools and teachers as you can put a copy on each computer in your lab and download as many files as you need to create your own personal resource library of sheet music and exercises!

How To Open Portable Scorch Files
  • The file saved will be called 10000075.zip
When you unzip the file, just save the 2 files, 10000075.sco and 10000075.htm
on to your desktop or other location.

  • Make sure that both files on are in the same folder or both on the desktop as they need to reside in the same location.
The reason is when you double-click on the .htm file it expects the matching .sco file to be in the same location.

  • Once the 2 files have been saved,  double-click on the 10000075.htm file and the scorch file will open in your default browser where you can play, transpose and print unlimited copies!

  • TIP: You can rename the htm file to anything you want such as MapleLeafRag.htm to make it easier to find your music.
Do not change the .htm extension

  • If you become a Platinum Member, just download all your portable scorch files to the same folder or location, and rename the .htm files and you can start building you own library of digital sheet music that you can access and print in any key and at any time.

So what can I do with your public domain selections?

The purpose of or public domain library is to give you access to resources and sheet music titles in different formats that you can download, print and even edit with software like Finale and Sibelius.

Although the music has our copyright markings, please feel free to use them for your own educational, church, organizational or personal use. The only restriction is our files cannot be sold or used for commercial purposes such as using them on your website without first contacting Sheet Music Digital with your request.

If you are a teacher, student or music teacher, and you do create an arrangement from one of our files, or if you have your own scores that you would like to share with other students, musicians and teachers, please feel to "upload" the new file to our site so it can be available for all other members.

This way, we can create a large and valuable "resource library" of files that can be shared by everyone.

Files you create and upload will never be sold on our site and you can even create your own webpage to display your files, biography and other information!
